I got a contest for you!
I’m hosting the first annual “Mimsey Does…” contest.
Let me explain: You are going to come up with a fun, insane, zany suggestion
for me to do, and I, your hapless puppet, will do it.
So, between now and Monday, December 3rd, you can go
to here and post a suggestion as a comment.
On December 12th,
we’ll announce the winners for “12 Days of Mimsey Does”. If we get twelve
suggestions, I’ll do all twelve. If we get more, then we’ll put the suggestions
in a hat and draw twelve. If we get less….well, this will be the saddest
contest ever.
There are only three rules:
- It
must be achievable. I can’t tap-dance on the moon, I’m sorry. I’m also broke,
so don’t tell me to take a trip around the world doing a silly dance.
- It
must be legal. This should go without saying, but I’m going to say it. I’m not
getting arrested because the Internet told me to.
- It
must be FUN! I don’t have enough fun in my life, and frankly the world could
use a boost of happiness!
Don’t forget, tell your friends, tell your
neighbors, tell your friend’s neighbors! There is some random dude on the
internet who is GOING TO DO WHAT YOU TELL THEM TO DO!
Now for the important part: PRIZES!
Each of the twelve comment suggestion winners will
get a signed copy of either “The Five Santas” or “Cult of Koo Kway”, your
choice.
Everyone
who leaves a comment will get a special note messaged to you, and a
personalized shout out on Twitter from @JayMimsey. (If you’re not on Twitter
let me know where you want the shout out to go)
So
to recap: You give me a suggestion of something fun to do here, and I’ll
try to do it. If I do your idea, you get free stuff. If I don’t, you’ll still
get a nice note and a Twitter shout out.
