Thirty Years Of NeverEnding Story! A Very Mimsey Review...

Hello Gentle Readers,

Apparently, in celebration of my birthday, Weird Al released an album. It isn't the best birthday gift I've ever received, but it's definitely one of the nicer.

Also, let me go on record as saying:
I want to own this outfit.

And yet, that's not even the best birthday present I've ever received...

The Pineapple, The Dragon and The Mimsey: A Birthday Reflection...

Hello Gentle Readers,

Yesterday was my birthday, and I was really excited to be able to celebrate it with such a wonderful and diverse group. Festivities began the day before, when The Mimsus, shutterbug Bobbi Jo and myself went to Roadhouse to eat.

There was too little Swayze to be found.

Hello Gentle Readers,

For those who don't know, we're celebrating the Twelve Days of Mimsey. And I thought it was time I admitted something: I love to sing. In fact, spend long enough around me and I'll randomly break into song. It's one of my more endearing traits.

One of many...

So, I thought it would be appropriate to share nine of the songs you'd likely hear me sing...

Ladies Of The Write: Eight Ladies Writing...

Hello Gentle Readers,
As we continue with the Twelve Days of Mimsey, I wanted to remind my audience that I am in fact a writer. And not merely a pretty face.

Six Santas And A Movie: A Very Mimsey Interview With The Director Of I AM SANTA CLAUS

Hello Gentle Readers,

I'm a bit of a Christmas nerd. Anyone who knows me probably already knows that. And has been forced to listen to a random burst of Christmas music.

Muppets is always a good go-to.

What a lot of people don't know about me, is that I'm also a huge Professional Wrestling nerd. In fact, one of the reasons I decided to even become an author, was that I read the funny, articulate and touching autobiography of wrestling legend Mick Foley.

Buy it here.

Imagine my surprise when I found out Mick Foley was in a documentary about Santa Claus'. A movie focused on the men who portray Santa Claus. Mick Foley is Santa Claus!

Hello Gentle Readers,

I thought it would be nice to take this opportunity, on the Fourth Day of Mimsey, to say "If you like what you read, you might like my books!"

You'd also enjoy hanging out with me.
We'd have cake.

That’s Not A Knife: Crocodile Dundee Is An Australian Batman

Hello Gentle Readers,

We have made it to the third day of our 2nd Annual Twelve Days of Mimsey. And, did you know John Bayer is on tour?

 This guy.

You can read my review of his book here and check out my interview with him here. And, if you want, check out his entire tour schedule here. The reason I bring this up is, John Bayer was for the longest time the only person who knew my secret. My personal guilty pleasure and a longtime favorite:

How can you not love this face?

I absolutely love all things Crocodile Dundee, and John Bayer was the only person I could call to confess how much I enjoyed Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles.

 We’ll get to that one.

So, without further ado, here’s why Crocodile Dundee still holds up!

Apparently, You Can't Have A Midlife Crisis In North Dakota And John Bayer Is Going On Tour!

He's got a blog, a Twitter and finally a Facebook page!

Let's PARTY! Twelve Days of Mimsey!

Hello Gentle Readers,

Tomorrow begins our 2nd annual Twelve Days of Mimsey celebration. This year, instead of doing a blog hop, we'll instead be partying RIGHT HERE!

The party will begin tomorrow, with the first day of Mimsey. There will be fun, dancing, and possibly even cake.

LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!

Jay Mims writes books, blogs, and recently wrote about what made Disney Princess' tick. Jay lives with The Mimsus, a semi-adopted cat named Eartha Kitty, a lizard named Bob and a passive-aggressive Dalek named Steve. Jay is far funnier on Facebook then in real life. He is terrible at Twitter.  Jay now has a website.
