Giving things up for Lent...

I will admit, gentle readers, that I have no willpower. Whatsoever. It’s a wonder I’ve  even bothered pulling myself onto the internet to create this blog.

So when it came time to deciding what to give up for Lent, I was a bit intimidated. On the one hand, I don’t have a lot of vices. The internet, movies, soda, feeding Big Willy carrots.

That’s really about it. I go to work, I come home, I eat a sandwich, I go to bed. I realize I could probably cut out starches, but you have to understand, if you cut out my starches, I have nothing left. Well, I have Big Willy’s carrots, but I can’t stand the taste of carrots.

And if I eat nothing but meat, which is what my good friend Dave recommended, with my luck I’ll just end up with scurvy. Or have a heart attack. Who can tell.

So, I decided to give up Scuba Diving for Lent. At the least, it’s a resolution I can keep.

  1. Technically, Carrots are a very starchy veggie. :)

  2. Are they? See this is why I suck at dieting.
