It's time to drape out the greenery (or orangery if you're Protestant) and celebrate that special occasion I like to call "Everyone's Irish Day".
Look, I will be the first to say, I'm not 100% Irish. My family came from a coastal town, and has more flavors then Baskin Robbins. I'm probably part Irish, and part Scottish, English, German, Cherokee, and a host of other nationalities. My grandfather's motto was "Don't shake the family tree, you might not like what falls out.
But trust me ladies, I'm 100% awesome.
Which apparently some see as a challenge.
Those people scare me.
So, with that in mind, I wanted to wish everyone a very happy and safe St. Patrick's day!
And thank you so much for sticking with me as I post everyday in March.
I hear it makes for great in-flight reading.
And to all my gentle readers who drink, please remember:
And in everything you do, have fun!
My idea of having fun.
Jay Mims writes books, blogs, and has never kissed the Blarney Stone. Jay and The Mimsus live with a
passive-aggressive Dalek named Steve, and have semi-adopted their neighbor's
cat named Eartha Kitty. There's another cat named Meowthazar,
but he's not as interesting. Also a Lizard that Jay calls Bob. Jay
is far funnier on Facebook then in real life. He is terrible at Twitter.
Love it! Are you wearing green? I don't think you're wearing green so I must pinch thee!!
ReplyDeleteI am not wearing green. Feel free to pinch away!
DeleteWhere do you get the pictures? They're priceless! As for the Beer Can picture? Challenge Accepted! Happy St. Paddy's!
ReplyDeleteCHALLENGE! ACCEPTED! Happy St. Patty's Day my dear friend! And I usually try to find the most ridiculous photos Chive or Buzzfeed can offer.
