It's a topsy-turvy world...

Hello Gentle Readers,

So, on Monday this week I posted a critique of the trailer for the upcoming Ghostbusters film. Feel free to read it here.

But, a funny thing happened on the way to the forum. Apparently, almost three THOUSAND people have viewed my blog post. I mean, I don't even know three thousand people.

I know this guy. Chris Winters.
Pretty sure he knows three thousand people.
So, with that said, I did want to bring up something kind of crazy. First of all, someone re-cut the Ghostbusters trailer and made it WAY better. First, here's the original:

And here's the fan re-cut:

My only complaint with the re-cut is that they didn't include the hat gag, the one joke I literally laughed out loud about. Otherwise, it was well-paced, fun and had a ton of energy! Plus, it used the original music and SFX that everyone loved from the original film.

And yet, no Janine!
What do you have against Annie Potts?

And, weirdly enough, an ALL NEW trailer has come out. An International trailer, featuring more of Chris Hemsworth

Apparently, he will be fighting ghosts.
With his abs.

And, look folks...I want to like this movie. I love Ghostbusters. I love female-driven comedies. I am the TARGET AUDIENCE for this movie. And yet, ugh. Just ugh. This new trailer literally hits all the exact same jokes that I complained about earlier. Don't believe me?

Why is this so crazy? Why am I so bothered about all this? Because right now, the latest trailer for Captain America has come out. I'm not excited about that movie. It's about heroes fighting each other instead of villains. It's an adaptation of the worst story in Marvel comics outside of clones. And the last ten seconds of that trailer made me shout "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"
So, to recap: The movie I want to like keeps making me actively dislike it, and the movie I want to hate just showed me Ant-Man riding an arrow into a fight and this:

It's a topsy-turvy world...Also:
