Keeping the mystery alive...

Hello Gentle Reader,

Do you like mysteries? Do you like Christmas? Do you like Christmas mysteries?

BAM!

See, this was the book that got the Mimsey magic started. Thanks to the people of Staccato, I was able to write a detective novel. Not only that, I got to introduce everyone's favorite smarmy detective to the world, the one and only Dan Landis.

People always ask if I'm Dan Landis.
I'm not, but I appreciate the compliment.

The second book in the series is where I learned two important things:.

WOO!
And for the record, it's pronounced:
Coo Hard K Way

1) Flashbacks are an art, and my book treats them more like a sledgehammer. Or a clips show episode. 2) If you can get through the flashbacks, this book is really enjoyable.

Book 3 is probably my best work to date.

It's the one I struggled the longest to write, believe it or not. As much as I love cozy mysteries, and the work of Agatha Christie, I'd never really considered how difficult cozies are to write. This book is set at a bed and breakfast, with a bunch of characters all snowed in. And there's a murder! AND EVERYONE HAS A MOTIVE! All that's missing is a train!

So, Gentle Readers, if you like the blog, I hope you'll take a chance on my books. You can find them at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords or better yet why not order them from your local book store! Let's keep small business alive America!

Jay Mims writes books, blogs, and loves The Muppets. Jay and The Mimsus live with a passive-aggressive Dalek named Steve, and have semi-adopted their neighbor's cat named Eartha Kitty. There's another cat named Meowlificient, but he's not as interesting. Somewhere in the house is a Lizard that Jay calls Bob. Jay is far funnier on Facebook then in real life. He is terrible at Twitter.
